Direct flights between Penang and Xi’an via Loong Air are expected to return this June, pending final confirmation, according to Tourism Malaysia deputy chairman Datuk Yeoh Soon Hin.
He added that plans are also underway for a new direct Kuala Lumpur–Xi’an route, with three weekly flights likely to begin by late June.
Tourism Malaysia is working to expand direct international connections beyond Kuala Lumpur to support Visit Malaysia Year 2026 and boost tourism across all states.
