KUALA LUMPUR — PKR kicked off its 2025–2028 term with a Political Bureau meeting focused on easing the people’s cost of living and preparing for the upcoming Sabah state election.
Chaired by PKR president Anwar Ibrahim, the meeting reviewed policy impacts on public welfare and assigned key leaders specific tasks to secure victory for the party and the Madani Unity Government.
Mustapha Sakmud will continue leading Sabah's State Leadership Council, while Datuk Peto Galim remains director of the Sabah State Election Committee.
Fuziah Salleh and William Leong will stay on as acting secretary-general and treasurer-general until the new leadership is announced at the next Central Leadership Council meeting.
Anwar remains confident the new leadership will strengthen the party’s future.
