8km traffic jam on NSE after trailer collides with 3 vehicles

TAPAH: An accident involving a trailer lorry and three other vehicles caused 8km-long traffic congestion at Km349 of the North-South Expressway between Sungkai and Bidor.

District police chief Superintendent Johari Yahya said initial investigations found that the trailer lorry went out of control, colliding with the three vehicles that were in the left lane.

"None of the drivers or passengers of the vehicles sustained any injuries. The emergency lane and the left lane have been temporarily closed.

"Traffic flow is still slow, and the incident happened after the rain," he said, adding that police were alerted to the incident at 7.40pm.

Meanwhile, Plus Bhd on its X account said that as of 9.41pm, the left lane remains obstructed and congestion extends for 8km.
