World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka overcame a shaky start to defeat Olympic champion Zheng Qinwen 7-6(3), 6-3 and book her spot in the French Open semi-finals. After losing to Zheng in Rome last month, Sabalenka found herself trailing early but regained control to take the first set in a tiebreak and dominated the second.
Chasing her first Roland Garros title, Sabalenka praised the tough match and said she was happy to find her rhythm in time. The top seed now awaits either 13th seed Elina Svitolina or four-time French Open winner Iga Swiatek in the last four.
