KUALA LUMPUR — The Youth and Sports Ministry (KBS), via Esports Integrated (ESI), has opened applications for the 2025 KBS Esports Fund (DEK), with RM1.5 million allocated this year — RM500,000 more than in 2024.

Applications are open online until July 31, and results will be announced on August 28. Approved programmes must be carried out from September to November 2025.

Launched in 2023, DEK has already supported over 80 grassroots esports initiatives, including tournaments, talent development, digital content, and community events. The fund encourages local organisers, content creators, and clubs to boost Malaysia’s growing esports scene, aligned with the Malaysia Madani values of creativity and confidence.

Deputy Minister Adam Adli said DEK isn’t just funding — it’s a commitment to unlocking esports’ full potential and creating an inclusive, competitive national ecosystem.
