KUALA LUMPUR: Selangor's Keerti Pradhaa Junivar Bala exacted revenge against India's Alia Kankaria in the final to win the girls' Under-11 title in the Henri Charpentier Lion City Junior Open in Singapore on Wednesday.
Keerti, who lost to Alia in the Under-11 final of the inaugural Touch N Go SRAFT International Junior Open in Kuala Lumpur in April, won 11-9, 6-11, 11-9, 5-11, 11-8.
Last month, Keerti also won the Under-11 title in the SEA Junior Championships in Bangkok and silver in the Under-12 individual and team gold in the national schools meet in Kangar.
"We are proud of our daughter Keerti for her outstanding performances in recent squash tournaments. Her dedication and hard work have been evident, and we are confident she will continue to excel and represent our country with honour.
"Our sincere gratitude goes to SRAFT and all the coaches for their invaluable support and guidance throughout her journey," said Keerti's father, Junivar Bala.
