KOTA KINABALU — Following the deadly Gerik bus crash that killed 15 students, Umno Sabah chief Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin has urged express bus drivers in Sabah to strictly obey speed limits and prioritise passenger safety.
He offered condolences to the victims' families and called the incident a wake-up call for all bus operators nationwide.
Bung Moktar stressed that no deadline is worth risking lives and warned drivers not to use tight schedules as an excuse for reckless driving.
“Each life on board is a responsibility — one careless moment can cause irreversible tragedy,” he said.
