Badminton Association of Malaysia (BAM) president Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz has called on Pearly Tan and M. Thinaah to remain with the national setup, amid reports they may pursue an independent path.During a visit to the Badminton Academy in Bukit Kiara on June 13, Tengku Zafrul said he has directed BAM management to prioritise retaining the world No. 3 women’s doubles pair.“I’ve asked the team to finalise things quickly to avoid distractions. It’s important we keep top players within BAM,” he said.Pearly-Thinaah recently finished runners-up at the Indonesian Open, falling to China’s Liu Shengshu-Tan Ning in the Super 1000 final.
