KUALA LUMPUR — Malaysia’s top badminton pairs Goh Sze Fei–Nur Izzuddin and Goh Soon Huat–Shevon Lai have officially joined the 'Road to Gold' (RTG) programme for the 2025 cycle, Youth and Sports Minister Hannah Yeoh confirmed.

Under the RTG initiative, both pairs will receive enhanced performance support as they work toward qualifying for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics and aiming to make history for Malaysia.

Hannah previously announced that other elite shuttlers, including Aaron Chia–Soh Wooi Yik, Pearly Tan–M. Thinaah, and mixed duo Chen Tang Jie–Toh Ee Wei, are also part of the programme.

Athletes from other sports like weightlifting, cycling, squash, and archery — including S. Sivasangari and Ng Eain Yow — have also joined either RTG or its Fast Track version, all part of Malaysia’s national mission to secure its first Olympic gold.
