Road to Gold (RTG) coordinator Datuk Stuart Ramalingam has assured that full support will be given to national athletes training abroad, including squash stars S. Sivasangari and Ng Eain Yow. He emphasized that the programme is committed to meeting their needs to help them perform at their best, regardless of location.
Support includes funding for travel, training environments, and skill development. Stuart also noted that any request aimed at boosting performance would be backed 100%, subject to approval. Former national icons like Lee Chong Wei, Nicol David, and Mirnawan Nawawi are part of the RTG panel helping evaluate athlete needs.
Sivasangari (world no. 8) is part of RTG, while Eain Yow (world no. 13) is on the Fast Track RTG. Other RTG athletes include badminton pairs Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik, Man Wei Chong-Tee Kai Wun, Pearly Tan-M. Thinaah, mixed duo Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei, weightlifter Mohd Aniq Kasdan, cyclists Nurul Izzah and Shah Firdaus, and archers Ariana Nur Dania, Syaqiera Mashayikh, and Nurul Azreena.
