NIBONG TEBAL — Police have launched an investigation into a group of high-powered motorcyclists caught on video riding recklessly in a car-only lane on the Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah Bridge last Friday around 4.35pm.
Seberang Perai Selatan police chief Superintendent Jay January Siowou said the bikers were heading from Batu Kawan to Batu Maung and the case is being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act for reckless and dangerous driving.
A 33-second clip of the incident went viral online, drawing public criticism. Police reminded all motorists that road safety is a shared responsibility.
