Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim hosted a luncheon at Seri Perdana for Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov, who is on a two-day official visit to Malaysia. The leaders earlier held talks to boost ties in trade, renewable energy, halal industry, education, and digital cooperation. Several MoUs were signed covering tourism, cybersecurity, higher education, and more. Zhaparov also received a warm welcome from local students and is scheduled to visit Parliament before returning home. Malaysia-Kyrgyz trade hit RM40 million in 2024.
