The MACC has filed a forfeiture application for Menara Ilham, a 60-storey building linked to the late Tun Daim Zainuddin, his widow Na’imah Abdul Khalid, and local proxies. MACC chief Tan Sri Azam Baki said more asset forfeiture applications will follow soon. In addition, the MACC obtained a restraining order on Daim-linked UK assets worth RM700 million, with UK authorities cooperating. Earlier, a Malaysian court temporarily lifted a freeze on seven properties and one bank account in the UK, previously seized under anti-money laundering laws.
