RIYADH — Cristiano Ronaldo has extended his contract with Al Nassr until 2027, ending speculation about his next move.

The club confirmed the two-year extension on X, shortly after teasing it with a video of Ronaldo declaring, “Al Nassr forever.” The 40-year-old also shared the news on Instagram, writing: “A new chapter begins. Same passion, same dream.”

Since joining the Saudi side in 2023, Ronaldo has become the face of the country’s football project, inspiring a wave of international stars to join the league.

Despite being the Pro League’s top scorer with 25 goals last season, he’s yet to win a major trophy with Al Nassr. Still, he remains committed to the club, hinting that he may retire there.

Backed by Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund, Al Nassr continues to play a major role in the kingdom’s football ambitions as it gears up to host the 2034 World Cup.
