ORLANDO — Manchester City sealed first place in Group G of the Club World Cup with a dominant 5-2 win over Juventus, exposing the Italians’ weak defence despite both teams already securing knockout spots.
Jeremy Doku opened the scoring before Juve equalised through Teun Koopmeiners after a blunder by City keeper Ederson. A Pierre Kalulu own goal and a close-range finish by Erling Haaland gave City a 3-1 lead.
Phil Foden added a fourth, and Savinho hammered in a stunning fifth off the crossbar, while Dusan Vlahovic netted a late consolation for Juventus.
City, the only side with a perfect group-stage record, now await the Round of 16, finishing three points clear of Juve.
