Former Johor mufti Nooh Gadot named Tokoh Maal Hijrah 1447h

Former Johor Mufti Datuk Nooh Gadot, 79, has been honoured with the *National Tokoh Maal Hijrah 1447H/2025M* award. His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, presented the award during the national Maal Hijrah celebration at MITEC, Kuala Lumpur.

Nooh, born in Segamat, currently serves as Adviser to the Johor Islamic Religious Council. A respected scholar with a PhD in Human Development, he previously served as Johor Mufti (1999–2002) and Religious Adviser to the late Sultan Iskandar.

Expressing gratitude, Nooh said the recognition motivates him to continue serving the ummah and Islam.

International Tokoh Maal Hijrah** went to Saudi Minister of Haj and Umrah *Tawfig Fawzan Muhammed Al-Rabiah*, 60, for his efforts in modernising pilgrimage services under Saudi Vision 2030.

The event, attended by nearly 8,000 people, also saw the presence of the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, Cabinet members, and Tunku Temenggong Johor.
