McLaren team boss Andrea Stella praised Lando Norris for showing strong character after his crash and retirement in Canada, bouncing back to lead a one-two finish at the Austrian Grand Prix. Despite needing to "polish a few things" to become the complete driver, Stella commended Norris’s speed and maturity in handling setbacks.

Norris, who held off teammate Oscar Piastri for the win, reduced the championship gap to 15 points. Stella also applauded Piastri for owning up to a near-miss with Norris at Turn 4, calling it a sign of team growth after the Canada incident. He expressed pride in both drivers and said Norris has what it takes for back-to-back wins, emphasizing that the key focus is continued success for McLaren.
