KUALA LUMPUR — Pandan MP Datuk Seri Rafizi Ramli has hinted he may not contest in the next general election or seek any future positions in PKR, citing disillusionment with the party’s internal political culture.
Speaking on his Yang Berhenti Menteri podcast, Rafizi, who recently lost the PKR deputy president post to Nurul Izzah Anwar, said the toxic culture displayed during party elections is not something he wants to be part of.
“I’ve yet to decide on contesting again, but I’m ready to move on and won’t look back,” he said, adding that he’s uninterested in joining other parties despite invitations.
Rafizi stepped down as economy minister in May after losing party support to continue reform efforts.
