Thirty years after the 1995 Srebrenica massacre, Mevlida Omerovic will finally bury her husband's jaw bones, found in a mass grave 12 years ago. His remains, among over 8,000 Muslim men and boys killed by Bosnian Serb forces, were identified through DNA. Omerovic had hoped more would be found, but now seeks closure at the cemetery where 6,750 victims are buried. Six others will also be laid to rest. Despite international rulings declaring the massacre a genocide, Bosnian Serb leaders and Serbia continue to deny the designation and dispute the death toll. Ethnic tensions in Bosnia remain high.
