After a challenging return to tennis last year, Amanda Anisimova made an impressive comeback, winning the Qatar Open in February and reaching the Queen’s Club final in June. Her first Wimbledon semi-final appearance will push her into the WTA top 10 for the first time, bringing her closer to her Grand Slam dream.

Reflecting on her journey, Anisimova shared how hard it was to hear people doubt her return, but she proved that prioritizing herself could lead her back to the top.

Anisimova, the second player in the Open era to reach a Grand Slam final after losing in qualifying the previous year, expressed disbelief at her rapid rise. She also recalled her junior days with Iga Świątek, who once beat her in the Junior Fed Cup. Despite that, Anisimova admires Świątek's work ethic and achievements, seeing their upcoming final as a fitting and special challenge.
