Croatia captain Luka Modric has signed a one-year deal with AC Milan after leaving Real Madrid. The 39-year-old midfielder, who won the 2018 Ballon d’Or, joined Madrid from Tottenham in 2012 and announced his departure earlier this summer. Milan confirmed his contract runs until June 2026, with an option to extend to 2027. Modric, who turns 40 in September, completed his medical in Milan and is set to start training in August. “I’m happy to begin this new chapter,” he said.
