Woman Stabbed at Subang Jaya Uni, Ex-Boyfriend Arrested

A 21-year-old foreign man was arrested yesterday in Subang Jaya for allegedly attacking his 20-year-old ex-girlfriend with a knife at a private university.

Subang Jaya district police chief ACP Wan Azlan Wan Mamat stated that police received a report at approximately 6:30 PM yesterday. The victim, also a foreign national, sustained slash wounds to the left side of her neck and was treated at Universiti Malaya Medical Centre (PPUM), where she is now in stable condition.

The suspect is confirmed to be the victim's former boyfriend, and the motive is under investigation. The case is being investigated under Section 324 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons, an offense that carries a penalty of up to 10 years in jail, a fine, whipping, or any combination thereof upon conviction.
