Three Malaysian coins (20 sen from 2018, 10 sen from 2017, and 5 sen from 2018), each with small, unique drawings, have gained attention after being featured by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) on their official X account. The coins were found at the base of the Nathan Hale statue outside the CIA's original headquarters in Langley, Virginia.

The CIA stated that officers often leave coins at the statue's base before overseas assignments for good luck, believing it ensures Nathan Hale will keep them safe. The Malaysian coins, with their personalized markings, were collected by the CIA Museum and will be donated to foundations supporting injured officers and families of fallen agents.
