Lionel Messi’s record streak of five straight multi-goal MLS games ended as Inter Miami fell 3-0 to FC Cincinnati on Wednesday. Messi, who had scored 16 goals this season, was kept quiet as Cincinnati dominated, limiting Miami to just two shots on target. Gerardo Valenzuela opened the scoring in the 16th minute, while Evander netted twice in the second half to seal the win. Miami coach Javier Mascherano admitted his side was outplayed and fatigued. Miami remains fifth in the Eastern Conference, eight points behind leaders Philadelphia, and next faces New York Red Bulls on Saturday.
