World No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz has withdrawn from next week’s Canadian Open in Toronto to recover after his Wimbledon final loss to Jannik Sinner.The 22-year-old Spaniard said he had hoped to be ready but needed more time to rest following his grass-court run. Alcaraz, a five-time Grand Slam champion, reached the Canadian Open quarter-finals last year.Tournament director Karl Hale expressed disappointment but noted fans would have future chances to see him.Sebastian Korda and Hubert Hurkacz have also pulled out due to leg and knee injuries, respectively.
