SEREMBAN — A businessman lost RM1.45 million to a fake online investment via a mobile app called ‘CDT MAX’, Nilai police said. The victim, in his 50s, made 15 transfers to seven accounts after being promised high returns. He realised it was a scam when asked to pay more to withdraw his “profits.” Police are investigating under Section 420 for cheating.
