Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil announced that 42 Creative Content Fund (DKK) applications from Sabah and Sarawak, totaling RM7.43 million, have been approved since 2022, creating over 1,245 jobs in various content categories.
Finas has also received 36 applications for the Borneo TV Programme Fund and 24 for the Post-Production Fund. Specifically, seven Sabah companies received RM1.39 million from these funds, expected to create over 200 jobs. Fahmi highlighted successful projects supported by government grants, such as the film 'Blood Brothers: Bara Naga' and 'Ejen Ali The Movie 2'.
The Communications Ministry, through Finas, will collaborate with Borneo TV to air content produced by DKK recipients. Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor emphasized that the DKK provides significant opportunities for Sabah to showcase its rich cultural diversity and natural beauty through creative content, attracting both local and international audiences.
