City Hall (DBKL) and Immigration authorities conducted a "KL Strike Force" operation in Taman Pudu Ulu, Cheras, cracking down on businesses employing undocumented foreign workers and operating illegally.
Immigration officers checked documents, while DBKL issued 10 compound notices for various offenses, including illegal employment and obstructing public spaces. Two premises were shut down, one license cancelled, and furniture confiscated from three others for blocking walkways. The operation also targeted unsanitary food outlets and unlicensed traders. DBKL stated they would continue these coordinated checks and urged public reporting of suspicious activities.
