Six Malaysian men, aged 27 to 70, have been identified by Bukit Aman after being detained by Cambodian authorities for allegedly attempting to smuggle nearly 62kg of cannabis to the UK via Phnom Penh Airport on July 16. While the arrests were confirmed through the Foreign Ministry, official notification from Cambodia is still pending. The Royal Malaysia Police is working with the Malaysian Embassy for further details. Authorities have yet to confirm links to international drug syndicates. Malaysians are urged to beware of suspicious overseas job offers that may be drug mule scams.
