KUALA LUMPUR — The HR chief of US tech firm Astronomer, Kristin Cabot, has resigned following a viral video of her and CEO Andy Byron embracing at a Coldplay concert. Her departure comes shortly after Byron stepped down amid an internal investigation, though the company hasn’t directly linked the resignations to the footage.

The video, widely shared on social media, showed a man and woman hugging on a concert screen, prompting Coldplay’s Chris Martin to joke, “Either they’re having an affair, or they’re just very shy.”

Despite identities not being officially confirmed, US media linked the clip to the two executives. As speculation spread, Astronomer launched a probe and later confirmed Byron’s exit.

Co-founder Pete DeJoy is now interim CEO. In a statement, he acknowledged the intense attention the startup has received and affirmed the company’s focus on moving forward.
