Umno vice-president Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani said all MPs have the right to file motions in Parliament, but any decision lies with the House. He was responding to opposition leader Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin’s hint at a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. However, Perikatan Nasional's Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan said the opposition may lack the numbers. Anwar stated he is open to facing such a motion.
