LONDON — Bayern Munich have agreed a £65.5 million deal to sign Liverpool winger Luis Diaz, according to multiple reports. The Colombian international is set to undergo a medical after leaving Liverpool’s pre-season tour in Asia.
Liverpool had previously rejected Bayern’s £59 million bid, but the improved offer now looks to secure Diaz’s move to the Allianz Arena. The 28-year-old scored 17 goals in 50 appearances last season, helping Arne Slot’s side win the Premier League for the first time in five years.
Diaz’s transfer comes as Bayern seek to replace injured forward Jamal Musiala, who is sidelined with a broken leg and dislocated ankle.
Meanwhile, Liverpool continue reshaping their squad with high-profile signings including Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, and goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili — and are eyeing Newcastle’s £150 million-rated striker Alexander Isak.
