Air quality has significantly improved across Peninsular Malaysia, with most areas now reporting "moderate" Air Pollutant Index (API) readings. As of 9 AM, only Mukah, Sarawak, recorded an "unhealthy" API of 154.

The Klang Valley, which experienced haze last week, now shows "moderate" levels, with Cheras at 93 and Johan Setia at 80, a notable improvement for the latter. Southern regions like Melaka also improved, with readings in the 70s moving towards Johor.

API categories are: 0-50 (good), 51-100 (moderate), 101-200 (unhealthy), 201-300 (very unhealthy), and 300+ (hazardous).
