Teen Arrested for Punching Teacher in Kajang

A 14-year-old student was arrested yesterday for allegedly punching and threatening a 29-year-old teacher at a secondary school in Kajang.

According to Kajang police chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abd Yusof, the incident occurred after the teacher reprimanded the student for skipping physical education class. The student then allegedly punched the teacher in the face and issued threats in front of other teachers and students.

The case is being investigated under Sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Penal Code. The student has been remanded for two days and is expected to be charged in court today. Police are urging anyone with information to contact Inspector Mohd Amirul Abd Wahab at 013-549 5236. The police also advised students to follow school regulations to protect their future.
