KUALA LUMPUR: Kelantan The Real Warriors (KTRW) have received a timely boost ahead of their Super League campaign after the lifting of their player transfer ban by FIFA.

The east coast club had been barred by FIFA from registering new players due to unresolved financial claims involving several former players and player agents over the past few years.

However, KTRW president Tan Sri Annuar Musa said that the final case — out of a total of nine bans — has now been officially cleared, with a letter of confirmation from FIFA yesterday.

Annuar added that KTRW still have five vacant foreign player slots and two local player slots to be filled.

"After a long effort to resolve all claims that led to the club's registration ban, alhamdulillah, everything has finally been settled," he said in a statement on his official Facebook page today.

"The last case out of the nine has received official clearance. KTRW are now completing the registration process for all players, including imports, and Insya-Allah, it will all be finalised within the next day or two.

"It's now official, a new KTRW team has taken shape," he added.

Annuar previously revealed that the current management had inherited all nine sanctions from Kelantan Darul Naim FC (KDN FC), eight of which had already been resolved.

KTRW, coached by E. Elavarasan, will begin their Super League campaign against Kuching City at the State Stadium in Kuching on Aug 9.
