Health Minister Datuk Seri Dzulkefly Ahmad announced that 3,850 out of 4,352 contract Grade UD10 medical officers have accepted permanent positions with the Ministry of Health. These doctors will begin their duties at MOH facilities nationwide starting October 2. The ministry offered three placement options, including Sabah and Sarawak, to address workforce distribution challenges. The acceptance rate is consistent with previous years. Dzulkefly expressed hope that these doctors will help strengthen and empower Malaysia’s public health system moving forward.
