Malaysia will soon send a team to Thailand to finalise the Terms of Reference (TOR) for the Interim Observation Team (IOT), tasked with monitoring the ceasefire between Thailand and Cambodia. Chief of Defence Force Gen Tan Sri Mohd Nizam Jaffar said the TOR already agreed upon with Cambodia will be discussed with Thai authorities to ensure alignment on border peace monitoring efforts. The move follows ongoing talks under the General Border Committee (GBC). Nizam confirmed the discussions will include his Thai counterpart and Cambodia’s defence leadership, aiming to solidify a coordinated regional peace mechanism.
