Police clarified that a six-year-old autistic girl reported missing from a rehab centre in Kuala Berang was not kidnapped. According to Hulu Terengganu police chief Supt Sharudin Abdul Wahab, the child left the community-based rehab centre unnoticed after another child opened the door. She was later found safe by a member of the public walking along a main road. The centre had used hand-tying therapy agreed upon by the mother to help her remain seated during meals. Authorities confirmed the incident was accidental, not criminal in nature.
