As part of the 80th anniversary of China’s victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, a special exhibition in Beijing highlights the vital role played by overseas Chinese during World War II. Held at the Overseas Chinese History Museum, the exhibit showcases nearly 400 artefacts that tell the story of those who supported the war effort from afar through advocacy, donations, and even returning to fight. “Though far from home, they shared in its destiny,” said Cheng Hong, vice-president of the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese. Their sacrifices and solidarity remain a powerful testament to national unity.
