Malaysia’s top women’s squash player S. Sivasangari powered into the quarterfinals of the Egyptian Open 2025 after a hard-fought 3-1 victory over England’s Jasmine Hutton in Giza. The world No. 8 battled through a 47-minute clash to win 12-10, 7-11, 11-9, 11-5. She now awaits a last-eight showdown on Wednesday (Sept 17) against either Egypt’s Amina Orfi or Farida Mohamed. Sivasangari remains the sole Malaysian standing in the tournament after early exits from teammates Rachel Arnold, Aira Azman, and national men’s No. 1 Ng Eain Yow in the second round.
