Defending champions Al-Ahli pulled off a thrilling 4-2 comeback victory over Uzbekistan’s Nasaf in their Asian Champions League Elite opener on Monday in Jeddah. Trailing 2-0 at halftime after a brace from Husain Norchaev, Al-Ahli roared back in the second half. New signing Enzo Millot scored twice in quick succession to level the match, taking advantage of a goalkeeping error and sloppy defending. Riyad Mahrez then put the hosts ahead with a stoppage-time strike, before Mohammed Sulaiman sealed the win 11 minutes later, after Nasaf were reduced to 10 men. A dramatic start to Al-Ahli’s title defence.
