Leong Jun Hao maintained his impressive form by overcoming Indonesia’s former Olympic bronze medallist Anthony Ginting 21-19, 5-21, 21-10 in the China Masters first round. After a heavy second-game loss, the 26-year-old rallied in the decider to secure victory in under an hour, leveling their head-to-head at 2-2. Ginting, once ranked world No. 2, has been hampered by injuries since last year. Jun Hao’s next challenge is a rematch with China’s Li Shi Feng, who recently knocked him out of the Hong Kong Open quarter-finals before winning the Super 500 title.
