The Paralympic Council of Malaysia (PCM) has defended its decision to hold the incentive presentation ceremony tomorrow, despite criticism from two-time Paralympic gold medallist Cheah Liek Hou, who is still competing in Beijing. Liek Hou expressed disappointment over the timing, noting that he and fellow medallist Bonnie Bunyau Gustin would be absent. He also raised concerns about the reduced rewards, as athletes were informed they would receive less than the RM60,000 initially promised. Last August, PCM president Datuk Seri Megat D Shahriman Zaharudin had announced corporate sponsors would contribute RM60,000 in total to fund the incentives.
