Pernilla Sjoholm, a Swedish victim of Israeli fraudster Simon Leviev known as the "Tinder Swindler" from the popular Netflix documentary expressed relief and joy following his recent arrest in Georgia. Leviev, whose real name is Shimon Yehuda Hayut, has been wanted by Interpol for his involvement in extensive romance scams and financial crimes. Arrested at Batumi airport, Leviev's capture marks a significant step toward justice for his victims. Sjoholm told AFP she celebrated the arrest, saying she is allowed to feel happy after the man destroyed her life through his fraudulent schemes.
