Malaysia’s S. Sivasangari bowed out of the Egyptian Open quarter-finals after a hard-fought 62-minute battle against Egypt’s 18-year-old world No. 5 Amina Orfi, losing 6-11, 8-11, 11-4, 9-11 in Giza. It was Sivasangari’s sixth loss in seven encounters with the rising star. Orfi now faces compatriot Fayrouz Aboelkheir, who pulled off the tournament's biggest shock by defeating world No. 2 and squash legend Nour El Sherbini in five thrilling games. Aboelkheir, just 19, called the win over her idol “the closest one to my heart” as she eyes a maiden semi-final appearance.
