Steven Spielberg recently shared candid memories from the making of Jaws at a preview for Jaws: The Exhibition at The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. Marking the film’s 50th anniversary, the legendary director revealed he feared his career was finished due to budget overruns and production delays. “Everyone told me I’d never get hired again,” Spielberg recalled. At just 26, he pushed forward, convinced Jaws might be his final shot. “I thought I better give this my all,” he said. Fortunately, Jaws became a massive success, launching Spielberg into cinematic history.
