Wayne Rooney has revealed he once locked his wife Coleen out of their house after she decorated it with Liverpool flags when the Reds won the Premier League in 2019-20. A lifelong Evertonian, Rooney’s rivalry with Liverpool runs deep, having played in Merseyside derbies for Everton and in fierce clashes with them while at Manchester United.Speaking ahead of Saturday’s derby, he recalled coming home from Derby County duties to find Coleen celebrating Liverpool’s title win something he couldn’t tolerate. “I locked her out,” Rooney admitted, highlighting just how seriously he takes the rivalry, even within his own household.
