The Malaysian world champions edged past Hong Kong’s world No. 6 pair Tang Chun Man and Tse Ying Suet 21-12, 12-21, 21-17 in a 61-minute battle at Shenzhen Arena. Despite not being at their best, the duo showed resilience and teamwork, with Ee Wei stepping up after Tang Jie had led their previous win over Indonesia’s Jafar Hidayatullah-Felisha Pasaribu. “She led with a clear mindset today,” said Tang Jie. They now eye a breakthrough Super 750 title.
