Former national gymnast Farah Ann Abdul Hadi has been appointed as Malaysia’s chef de mission for the upcoming Asian Youth Games in Manama, Bahrain, taking place from October 22 to 31. The Olympic Council of Malaysia (OCM), in collaboration with the National Sports Council (NSC), announced the appointment, citing her leadership and decorated career as key factors. Farah, 31, is one of Malaysia’s most accomplished gymnasts, having won 12 SEA Games medals including seven golds across four editions. OCM expressed confidence that her presence will inspire and motivate the young athletes to strive for excellence and proudly represent the nation on the continental stage.
