The government is contemplating widening the age scope of the Anti-Bullying Tribunal Bill beyond just individuals under 18 years old. Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law and Institutional Reform), revealed that feedback from Anti-Bullying Town Hall sessions and the PetaRI portal suggested bullying incidents are common not only in schools but also in higher education, police, and military colleges. Expanding the bill’s reach would involve multiple ministries, including Education and Higher Education, as well as public and private institutions, aiming for a comprehensive approach to tackling bullying across all age groups.
